Moving the Mission Forward
2020 got off to a strong start with ministry in Pakistan and two different locations in France…then came Covid. While the pandemic has hindered our ability to travel globally, it hasn’t kept us from moving the mission forward!
Stronger Global Community: We’ve seen an incredible strengthening of the “global community” we are forming among our regional movement leaders. Throughout the year we’ve had the opportunity to gather them together, via digital platforms, so they can share, encourage one another, and learn best practices for approaching these unprecedented times.
Innovating New Formats: Challenges create opportunities for innovation, and we’ve been innovating! We’ve developed several online events that lead participants toward ultimate participation in a Catalyst Community. We are also developing and testing online formats that allow us to gather leaders in a Catalyst cohort format (smaller groups that meet regularly), and we will soon be beta testing our first online Catalyst Community.

Filling the Pipeline!
What excites me more than anything else this year is the progress we are making on filling the pipeline for the Catalyst System. People often ask how we begin ministry in new countries. As with everything we do, it happens through relationships! The greatest advocates we have are those who have experienced the Catalyst System themselves. We’ve been meeting with our leadership teams from around the world and brainstorming how to move into new countries. Here are a few examples.
Our friends in India are helping us connect with leaders in:
- Bangladesh
- SriLanka
- Malaysia
- Indonesia
Our friends in Albania and Macedonia are working to open doors in countries like:
- Greece
- Bulgaria
- Serbia
Through our partners in the Republic of Georgia we’re working on strategies to enter:
- Armenia
- Azerbaijan
- Turkey
We are also in the early stages of work in Czechoslovakia and Slovenia.
